Princesse Tam Tam Summer 2008 Collection

Summer may not have arrived yet but French designer lingerie label, Princesse Tam Tam have already launched their Summer 2008 collection of lingerie. I am not French so I do not know what "Tam Tam" means in French and because of my ignorance, I actually fine it rather amusing.

Whatever it is, Princesse Tam Tam is already well-known for their very feminine French style lingerie that looks so comfortable to wear. Is Princesse Tam Tam available in Malaysia? Not as far as I know. So whoever wants to try out Princesse Tam Tam would have to shop online.

Browsing through the official website of Princesse Tam Tam, what I like about it is that I just need to hover my cursor over an image to zoom in on the picture. I love checking out the seams and lace and other minute details this way. It saves me lots of mouse clicks!

Charity Hodges: Top Lingerie Model

I read somewhere that Charity Hodges was voted as one of the top lingerie models. Charity started getting noticed as a contestant in a bikini competition and she was so hot, she gave the other girls a run for their money.

Well, it is not surprising that since then, Charity has become the darling host of Nopi Tunervision, a television series on fast cars and beautiful women.

Since the days of bikini modelling, Charity has advanced her career and is now a rapper and actress, besides television hosting and modelling.

With a body like that, Charity does not only look good in bikini and lingerie, but she can also model nipple pads, "sand bikini” or artfully placed accessories!

Triumph International Japan Anti-Smoking Bra

While surfing the internet randomly, I chanced upon this bra by Triumph International Japan. I know this is old news to some of us, after all, it was released in 2003 and five years is a long time in lingerie fashion and trends but it is not exactly vintage lingerie! Haha!

However, seeing this picture again reminds me of Triumph International Japan's “No! Shopping Bag Bra” (NO! reji-bukuro bra) launched three years ago.

This anti-smoking bra is supposed to emit a certain type of fragrance that kills the craving for a smoke. Does it work? You tell me but these Japanese, you got to give them credit for coming up with so many innovative ideas.

Valisère Lingerie

Not too long ago, I was at a major shopping complex in my home city and out of curiosity, I checked out what lingerie brands are available. Did you know that I nearly fainted when I saw a string selling at MYR89.90 and I was like, "Whoa, what brand is this? What company dares to sell such expensive brand name lingerie here?"

Granted, this string is studded with crystal rhinestones and very elegant but MYR89.90?

I was feeling incredulous because there is a local joke that people around here want cheap, want big and want fast. The best is that if we could have all three together and it would be a perfect buy for us.

Turns out that Valisère Lingerie, a French lingerie label, is owned by Triumph International, a long established brand name. As you can see from the images included in this post, the Valisère Lingerie collection is definitely very classy and rich.

My question would be, for a string that is being sold here at MYR89.90, are there any takers?

Playboy Lingerie

A friend of mine, who also trades online but on brand name watches, told me that he has plans to give me a run for my money by bringing in Playboy Lingerie. Well, I say, the more the merrier.

Personally, I also am a fan of Playboy Lingerie and if he does bring them in, I would probably buy from him as well, though I am not sure how well his sales would be received since he is a guy and most of my buyers are men too. Perhaps buyers, men and women alike, would feel a tad embarrassed buying from a guy? I hope so LOL

After going through the range of lingerie on Playboy Store, I wonder why they do not expand their collection. God knows they have already established their brand name and they have the capital. I believe they will be able to sell any and all lingerie they have under their brand name.

Love Kylie

I have always wanted to write a post on Kylie Minogue's lingerie line, Love Kylie because I simply love the range of lingerie available which I think is very refreshing and somewhat provocative.

I remember the first time I heard of Kylie Minogue was back in 1988 when her Locomotion single hit the airwaves and I did not even know how to spell her name [there was no internet back then] and I thought that Kylie must be an older singer because Minogue sure sounded old to me.

Since then, Kylie's career has risen by leaps and bounds and she sure has come a long way since her role in the Australian soap opera, Neighbours. It is really not surprising to see how her career has surpassed that of Jason Donovan, her fellow colleague on Neighbours who also became popular internationally at around the same time as she did.

Like all celebrities with their own lingerie lines, Kylie also models her own lingerie. Don't you just love her in these advertisements? She does not look like the pocket dynamite that she really is, in real life.

Kylie created controversy when she launched a junior sexy lingerie line called Love Kylie Princess that is targetted at young girls and tweens from eight to sixteen. In Malaysia, eight year olds don't need lingerie and some eighteen year olds would even be wearing young girl's bra and panties. I guess Aussies develop faster. :D

I am sure everyone knows that Kylie is a cancer survivor and that makes her all the more loved by her fans!

Lingerie Bowl

Super Bowl is happening this Sunday, February 3rd, 2008 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. If you are not American or have not lived in America, you probably do not recognise how huge this sporting event is. It is as of the whole of American held its breath just waiting for Super Bowl Sunday to arrive.

This year, marks the 42nd Super Bowl so you can imagine the long history of the game. It's like a tradition, a culture and once you have been to watch Super Bowl live, I think you will want to go year after year. It's like an addiction.

Since Super Bowl is just slightly more than a day away, I thought it would be most apt for me to write a post on the Lingerie Bowl in conjunction with Super Bowl.

Lingerie Bowl is a Pay-Per-View TV program where beautiful lingerie models play American Football as if for real during halftime of the real Super Bowl. Some people may think that this is stupid, but this is really a huge business for everyone involved and it is a huge advertising opportunity for businesses wanting to capitalize on the demographics of viewers.

I mean, who doesn't like watching beautiful models in lingerie and minimal protective gear pretending to play Super Bowl?

I managed to dig two videos from YouTube just now. These videos are the two parts of a Lingerie Bowl event two years ago. It was the third annual Lingerie Bowl held during half time of the 40th Super Bowl.

Since then, you can imagine how big Lingerie Bowl has grown that the producers are turning it into a reality show with its own league. Imagine that!

Update: The 5th annual Lingerie Bowl was cancelled as the organizers were unable to obtain a permit.
